- Origin: 40 % Brasil Santa Maria natural, 20 % Guatemala Los Volcanes washed, 40 % Ecuador Zumba washed
- Price: ~ 23€/Kilo
- Blend: 60% Arabica, 40% Robusta ?
- Character: chocolate, nougat, marzipan
Ground with Rancillio Rocky S, prepared with Rancillio Silvia. I ground a little finer and overdosed a little. Furthermore I didn't let the shop get all too bright to extract some more sweetness.
The last couple of espressi I drank were pretty bright and on the arabica-heavy side. I really enjoyed those beans, as they provided the harsh taste of a italian blend, but offered something to explore as well. A little bit of marzipan got through and some subtle blue berries. A very welcome alternative.
Would buy again ?
Once in a while. I'm not that much of a italian-blend fan. Those beans offered some changes though. The berries reminded me a little of a microlot I loved.
